Tom Farrand appointed as UK head of trademarks

Tom FarrandMarks & Clerk has appointed Tom Farrand as UK head of trademarks, after the lawyer formerly in the role joined Kempner & Partners. Farrand joins the team from IP consultancy provider Novagraaf, where he served as managing director of trademarks.

He is a registered UK trademark attorney and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys.

David Ward, UK managing partner at Marks & Clerk, said: “Bringing Tom on board further enhances our trademark practice and is a real boost to the service we can offer our clients.” Farrand added that he relished the opportunity to work with colleagues at the “forefront of developments in trademark law”.

UK-based Kempner & Partners had hired Marks & Clerk’s former head of UK trademarks Matt Sammon.
